broodylesbian:

tbh i really hate the quips about going to college/uni then “turning” gay/bi as if that’s a bad, laughable thing or the whole “all girls are bi at college” thing. not only is that obviously lesbophobic + biphobic, but like for many questioning or closeted lbpq girls who live in conservative, judgemental homes or towns going to college/uni away from home finally gives them a chance to discover themselves, to come out and to find people who will be supportive. it’s a great thing and girls who come out at college/uni deserve support and encouragement, instead of being treated like a punchline.
